Hello, my alias is some form of PhailSnail. I am in my late 30s and
living in Indiana, my home state. I created this site out of nostalgic
boredom and wanted to give Microsoft FrontPages a go again. I have an old
Pentium 4 Gateway computer, running Windows XP and connected to a genuine CRT
monitor that I created this site with; For the full experience of course.
I created my first webpage around 2000 in angelfire and then I moved onto
geocities. Growing up in the 90s/00s, I've always been submerged into
technology. While in 3rd Grade, I received a handy down 1989? Zenith EZPC with
MS DOS and an honest to goodness monochrome screen. It didnt do much, in fact it
wasn't until recently I've learned that I could have installed windows 3.0 on
it, but what good does that do me now? lol Working around DOS at such an early
age taught me a lot about patience and I think served me well. We always had a
more modern windows PC as a family computer that I used for gaming and online
activities. Around middle school, we went to the Gateway store (an actual
Gateway branded computer store!) and I my family purchased me my very own
'modern' desktop with a shiny new Windows ME OS and dial up internet that I was
often allowed to use when the family didnt need it. Back then Command and
Conquer RA2, The Sims, Rollercoaster Tycoon, and SimCity 3000/4 ate most my time.
I really like Video games. My first system was a Sega Genesis I received for
Christmas 1995 and I still have it. We had the Sega Channel for a few
years as well and THAT WAS AWESOME. Since then, I've always had the current gaming
console and still play to this day. My retro collection has also grown over the
years as I tend to hoard my systems. My Genesis, SNES, PS2 (PS1 is packed up),
Dreamcast. and N64 are currently hooked up to a old Sony CRT in the bedroom
(Which is used often via an Amazon FireStick and HDMI/AV converter.)
