| 12/09/25 Day 9 brings... In middle
school, I read The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury and had to write a
book report on it. Being the lazy teen I was, I reused that same book
in several classes and papers all the way up through my junior year (11th grade).
Every time, it earned me good grades.
I still read the book at least once a year and often find myself quoting
it. It's one of my favorite reads and Bradbury is one of my favorite
authors.

Around 2008/2009, I came across a video on YouTube that animated one
of the chapters: August 2026, There Will Come Soft Rains. To me, this is
the one of the best parts of the book. It tells the story of a
smart home catering to the family who lives there with a twist at
the end.
The video was eventually deleted from YouTube, but I managed to track it down later
using the Wayback Machine to view the
artist's now removed website. Which lead me to this Vimeo upload:
