Websites
 |
| Here are a few sites I think are
great. I will probably revisit this and expand on my thoughts. I have a
lot more sites I plan to add, I'm just lazy. Note: This looks terrible
on mobile.

|

https://phailsnail.neocities.org
|
This site sucks. The webmaster is boring and a total
windbag. Reading the home page gives off major NPC vibes and
unfortunately, there’s no skip dialogue button. You can tell that they
didn't even play the tutorial. Even though they supposedly know basic
HTML, the site’s poorly slapped together in MS FrontPage and has zero
navigational structure. Amateur at best, and honestly, a 6 year old
could do better. :) |
|

https://bmh.neocities.org |
Calling BMHO site a “personal blog” doesn’t quite capture what it
is. It’s more like a glimpse into a personality and a life. The
webmaster, Brian, reviews YouTube and Rumble videos, books, films, and
many other topics; often in great depth and at considerable length. BMHO
also features personal projects, miscellaneous items, and personal
hoarding...err...collections. The site’s pages span several years,
possibly even decades.
BMHO is a site I browse regularly, and in my opinion, it is the ideal
personal website. |
|

https://jameso2.neocities.org
|
This site is a personal site for the artwork and blog of the
webmaster and artist: James (obviously). The artist specializes in
pixel art and does take commissions. This is a cozy site and I hope to
see it updated more frequently. |
|

https://basscat.neocities.org/
|
This site apparently used to be a lot more, but the owner deleted it
and it is now strictly a blog. It's a interesting blog and the site is
beautiful. I hope the site again expands. Let's all love Lain. |
|

https://anywhere.neocities.org
|
This site is...something. It's almost like a glitch, the MissingNo
of the internet, and you'll have to experience yourself. Contains a
standard and interesting blog, writings, and artwork. In fact the entire
site is an art piece. This site has been trying to reach you. |
|

https://vhsmaronite.neocities.org
|
VHSMARONITE is a wonderful corner of the web with a
blog, art, and personal writings. It’s packed with reviews, writing,
music, and a retro aesthetic that feels like a vaporwave ride through
the old internet. I love it. |
|

https://freckleskies.neocities.org/ |
Freckle Skies is like stepping into a BBS environment.
The design leans heavily on ASCII-style. This
choice makes the site feel less like a webpage and more like browsing a
old computer terminal. The journal, ehm, diary is set up to resemble old
forum style posts. Full of blogs, writings, reviews,
cookbooks...what?...it has a little of everything. |
|

https://caminus.quest/ |
Caminus.quest is a retro-styled Neocities site that
embraces the retro web It feels like a art piece from the late 90s or
early 2000s, complete with Pokémon, banners, reviews, recipes, DND/Tabletop
campigns and more. Even has a cat to pet! I love this site.
|
|

https://snailcafe1997.neocities.org/
|
Snailcafe1997 is a small, cozy personal site. It’s a
cute handmade space for memories, blog updates, and little bits of art,
built with care. Great site! |
|

https://dannarchy.com |
There’s no single theme for Dannarchy. It’s more like a
digital scrapbook full of hobbies: classic PC games, photography, ASCII
art, updates, and humor. It’s intentionally nostalgic and doesn’t try to
be polished or structured. Just someone enjoying the freedom of making
their own corner of the internet. Amazing site.

https://divinicide.neocities.org |
 |
|

https://funnyorangecat.neocities.org |
Garfield, Lasagna is ready!
Funny Orange Cat is just someone goofing around online. It’s
loose and full of tiny pages about whatever. Shrines, quick
diary updates, jokes, simple pixel stuff. It feels like a
personal corner they made for fun and then left open for anyone
to poke around in. And, they really love Garfield, which is
great because, I really love Garfield.
|
|

https://chesca.neocities.org |
Chesca’s site feels like someone’s little playroom on the web. Its
beautiful master piece, a few art pieces and notes scattered around.
It's like someone set up a childhood bedroom online and kept things they
like, and you’re just allowed to wander through it. The room is pretty
messy though, so forgive them! |
|

https://youwillbesafe.neocities.org |
You Will Be Safe feels like a small personal space from the early web.
Simple, a bit messy, and very human. It has that same vibe of something
we would’ve made when we were younger, just throwing together whatever
made sense at the time. There are art and photography pages, little
shrines, personal altars tied to the creator’s beliefs, and a few
collections tucked around the site. It comes off gentle and homemade,
very human, and it really captures that old Geocities feeling I
remember. Great site. |
|

https://pumpkinkitten.neocities.org
|
PumpkinKitten is a virtual escape room puzzle. Its
frustrating fun and I
hate love it. I am going to
solve the puzzle one day. This site also feature other pages about cats,
horses, recipes, and a blog. Great site! They put a lot of work into it
and its a lot of fun. One of the best sites on the web! |
|

https://gothprincess.neocities.org/ |
gothprincess is a personal site with a really neat
style. It’s artsy, loud, and full of personality. Inside there’s the
shrines, a blog, art, graphics, a helpful resource page and a bunch of
other great stuff, plus Godzilla showing up like it’s Tokyo. |
